His Majesty's Government have decided that

surplus assets of enemy businesses which have been wound

up should be invested in British Government securities.

Suggest therefore that you should immediately instruct

Grown Agents to apply for allotment of War Lean equivalent

te amount of any such surplus. Applications must reach

Bank of England on or before July 10th. Same applies to

any other assets held by Government en behalf of enemy

subjects.
